Even I, as a Beauty Ed, get a bit baffled about what to put where, how much should I blend, will this colour go with that… before I know it I’ve used up all my wipes and have a pile of used cotton buds in a bid to correct-as-I-go. Unfortunately there’s no Fairy Make-up Mother we can summon-up, but there is Superdrug’s Studio London! A complete make-up range that uses high quality baked and strong colour pigments suitable for any professional make-up artist, with the added benefit of step-by-step guides to creating the latest fashion looks, making replicating them yourself, a cinch!

I was lucky enough to be invited by Superdrug to the exclusive Studio London shoot – where the model and step-by-step images would appear on all the boxed packaging. The buzz of the day reflected to upbeat, on-trend looks that can be achieved with each purchase. From Bronzing and a Neutral finish to Metallic and Smokey eyes to False Lashes and a Nail Look Book – there’s a look for everyone! But my favourite? The bright, catwalk-inspired colours in the Eye Define. Using the blue hued pencil really made my own blue eyes really ‘pop’ and I receive so many compliments when I wear it! It will definitely be my Valentine’s Day must-have!

The range was created in collaboration with celebrity make-up artist Joanna Bernacka, who told me ‘how excited she was to be involved in such an amazing project’. What drew her to be involved? ‘The fact that such premium formulations and colours would now be available at an affordable price.’ Can’t argue with that!
