B.B  stands for Blemish Balm and are cult products in East and South West Asia.  Originally designed by dermatologists for use in Laser Surgery Patients they are now  raved about because of their amazing combination of skin care healing properites, moisturiser, SPF and tinted foundation base. It is an all in one cream designed to limit the need for lots of other products on the face and provide an even tone for your skin.

So there you go- to sum it all up, BB creams sound like little tubes of magic! Garnier are one of the first companies to jump on the BB Band Wago ( try saying that with your mouth full!) and have brought it to the UK market.

Introducing the Garnier All in One B.B Cream Miracle Skin Perfector! Described as the all in one solution is promises to unify, illuminate, hydrate  and help protect skin with SPF 15.

Available in two shades and retailing at £9.99 I have been putting this cream through its paces.  The formula is creamy and easily applied with your fingers or a flat topped brush, it is not too thick and adds a decent amount of coverage to cover up redness and spots while not making me look cakey or like I am wearing a lot of foundation. The cream does leave you with a gorgeous glowy glow, which is how I prefer the finish but for any one with an incredibly oily skin I am not sure if this product would help.

The problem I have with this particular BB cream is in the shade range.-I have tried out the shade light and on me it is still too dark. Now with BB creams being so blendable this is not as much an issue that with a pure foundation as the colour blends in more, but I am not even the lightest of skinned people so I can see this one being too dark for some people which is a shame as it is great product. It is ok for me in Summer with a very slight tan, but on my winter skin I don’t know if it will work.

Overall if the colours work for you I would definately recommend trying this new cream out. I think it is perfect for summer skin when you dont want to piling lots of products on but still looking for nice even skin with a healthy dewy glow.

I have had the most wonderful two years writing for this brilliantly funky blog and met some lovely people too – Phoebe and Holly – who are firm favourites on my Twitter feed. As well as introduced my wonderful friend Helen into the mix. I’m sure with her amazing beauty and excellent cake baking skills, she’ll be keeping you lot amused for the time to come.

Naturally, as the time approaches to leave Superdrugloves.com, it’s led me to have a wonderful reminisce about everything I got up to here.

There was the infamous Pimp my Poncho post, where I took to the streets of London with my box of Superdrug ponchos and got 50 people to model them for me… Get a blast from the past HERE.

Then, there was the highlight of winning the competition – my amazing holiday away to Barcelona with London Aunt. Such fun we had walking around this beautiful city, taking in the sites, supping a beer here and there, and enjoying our lavish five-star hotel. It’s posted HERE!

And of course, there was my Pakistan Flood Appeal sale, with the wonderful London Cousins and their friends who gave us their own view of how make-up should be worn. You can read all about it here.

There’s also the fact that for the last two years, I have been better catered for beauty wise than a celeb. I’ve got to try out the latest products for hair, skin and nails. I’ve had a different mascara almost every month and my bathroom shelves are groaning under the weight of all my wonderful products.

It’s been a treat, a time to treasure and a truly great experience and I’m terribly sad to be going…

But go I must, to pastures new. Of course, you will still be able to catch up with my antics on Deafinitelygirly.com – just this morning I super-glued my hand to a glass chopping board in my kitchen – and as you know, my life is anything but dull.

And all that’s left to do is say a massive thank you to the Superdrug peeps, for their wonderful comments, support, products, emails and opportunities they’ve thrown my way.

Step 1:
Start with a prepared ‘perfect skin’ base using Foundation – Light and Face Powder – No12 Medium.

Step 2:
Using eyeshadow palette Soho 2 apply the bright yellow (a) shade to the inner half of the lid, from the lash line to the crease. Next apply the magenta pink (b) shade to the outer half of the lid, pressing and blending the colour using the eyeshadow applicator.

Step 3:
Apply the intense purple (c) shade from the palette to the outer corner of the eye, extending slightly from the natural lash line. Line the lower lashes with the aqua green(d) shade, blending the colour along the lash line. Add a pop of vibrant colour in the inner corners of the eyes by dotting the bright orange (e) shade in the corners and blend into the yellow.

Step 4:
Frame the look with pencil eyeliner by applying line and define liner in black along the lashline and inner waterline – the black creates a beautiful contrast against the colour.

Step 5:
For ultra glamour add false lashes – choose your favourite beautyuk pair! Measure the lash against your natural lash by placing on the upper lash line and trim if necessary. Apply the glue to the seam of the lash and allow a few seconds to dry before applying to the eye. Once dry sweep some lash fx mascara in black through the false lashes, blending them into your own lashes and also apply the mascara to the lower lashes.

Step 6:
Keep the lips simple and neutral by applying our moisture Lipstick – No12 Firecracker. And finish with a slick of plump and pout gloss in shade 2 to get luscious lips.

Step 7:
Apply a rose pink blush to the apples of the cheeks with the blush brush – our blusher in number 5 in rose pink is perfect.

I came back from a holiday to Cannes which was lovely – the sea sparkled with glitter which was quite apt for the town and it’s rich and famous visitors.  We stayed in an apartment (http://www.placeincannes.com) which had a fab DVD collection when we were trying to save money and was close to the lovely beach, amazing restaurants and funky bars so all in all, it was a great holiday.

Anyway, I thought I would try to start a regular write up of the things I’m loving, every Monday.  It’s the worst day of the week for me so I figured it could cheer us all up and perhaps give you some ideas too.   I’ll try to keep this up on a regular basis but ‘regular’ isn’t really something I’m good at… I’m not really one for routine but I always start out with the best intentions so let’s just see what happens for now!

So first off, this Monday is Andrea Fulerton’s Nail Boutique that’s just hit Superdrug stores.  A range of products “bringing up to the minute nail designs and colours fresh from the catwalk or celebrity and onto the fingernails of all she touches”.  I cannot wait to try these – the multicolours look amazing, there is a seemingly genius ‘layering system’ and I’m quite partial to the bling stickers that she’s got to offer

I won’t go in to too much detail as I don’t want to bore anyone but we went to Lake Garda, Italy which was so beautiful and spent the days on boats up and down the lake (which is pretty massive… it looks like the sea up close) and eating tonnes of gorgeous pasta and pizza and drinking prosecco and red wine. It was completely idyllic and getting engaged at the top of this clock tower was one of the best moments of my life J Sorry to gross you out… gush gush!

On our last night, we went to an Opera in Verona which was in an old open-air Amphitheatre and built in the first century AD. It was a stunning setting and we were so looking forward to the opera until a huge black cloud came over the top like a ceiling and whooshed a load of rain all over us, we got soaked… it was like the scene out of a disaster movie, everyone was screaming and running to get out of the torrential rain and lightning – it was the worst storm we’d ever been in. They tried to carry on with the show but each time just a drop of rain came down, the orchestra ran off to protect their instruments – this happened 4 times and in the end, my “fiancé” and I had given up and went to get some pizza! It was a really memorable experience though, totally scary and a bit rubbish that we didn’t actually see much opera but really fun!

We got home to a surprise party at his mum’s house where all of our families were – it was a pretty good weekend! It’s worth mentioning that I tried to be a bit thematic, given my new status, with my plane outfit and wore this fab skirt with hearts on it from River Island…. They have SO much cool stuff in there at the moment and their prices seem to be more reasonable than recent years…. Well done River Island!

I’m about to embark on Challenge 4 which is to visit my nearest Superdrug store and report back on my experience, after spending a very kind £20 pound voucher… so watch this space.

As a brunette, I can definitely say I’ve had my fair share of fun! I can’t remember any rivalry with Blondes, and never ever wished to be blonde.  I love my hair, it really is my crown and glory. There are so many stereotypical perceptions of blondes, blonde jokes, lack of intelligence etc, so I thought it was only fair I put this to the test myself, and conduct my own research…in Edinburgh!

Me and my girlfriends, Bal, Sang and Narry all brunettes I hasten to add were on our latest SATC jaunt, all armed with this weeks task…to find out whether men think Blondes or Brunettes have more fun!  We also wanted to know their favourite Brunette!

We started off early…and the first chap I cornered was at the security guy at Birmingham Airport.  He said definitely brunettes, and his fave was Kim Kardashian (which he said I resembled…creep!)

In Edinburgh we hung out in the Royal Mile, and the first bunch of lads we spoke to, were on a stag weekend.  No surprise here…but the consensus was blondes, however they kept saying that they would end up with a brunette, there were some other comments (unfortunately its not printable!)

One thing I certainly noticed, this research was a real ice breaker…I couldn’t believe how many men loved being part of the survey.  I wondered, as there was four hot chicks asking the questions…whether that really had any bearings on the end result…?

The results at the end of the night were not surprising…BRUNETTES definitely have MORE fun…well at least the men of Edinburgh seem to think so!
