This week I tried Simply Pure Facemask, one of Superdrug’s own brand range for £2.59 I have complicated skin. Some areas are quite oily (particularly the t-section) and yet other areas are very dry, so it’s difficult to find a product that works for both skin types. I also have quite sensitive skin, so I often come up in a rash if I use products with harsh chemicals in. Simply pure is a brilliant range because it’s literally does what it says on the tin. It is simply pure. It’s 100% paraben and fragrance free. This means that it dries out those oily areas without being too evasive. It also means it’s hypoallergenic, so no nasty rash! – Yippee! I used this product in the evening as it suited my skin care regime best. I cleansed my face and removed my make up with cotton wool pads, before applying a very thin layer of the mask and leaving it for 3 minutes as instructed. (Note: using these 3 minutes to clean your teeth and shave your arm pits is a good use of time, and saves you walking around the house looking like a moomin) Once the mask had dried, I started to gently remove it with a warm flannel, exfoliating in a circular motion to really get into my pores. The results were instant. My skin was noticeably softer and my skin felt more radiant. The natural clay in the mask helped refine my skins texture and create a smoother base. I finished off the regime with a good vitamin E moisturiser which helped shield my new radiant complexion. To summarise, this product is brilliant if you have complicated combination skin, and you want less of an oily shine and more of a matte-shimmer. It brightens your reflection without making it too oily or too dry. The packaging says to use it every night, which I think might be a little too much, but 2-3 times a week, and you’ll have visibly brighter looking skin. Lastly it is just stunning in design....I defy it not looking good in a bathroom near you.....go on treat yourself, your friends and family to a little method for the love of clean hands.....
