With it being wedding season I can’t help but sit and plan my big day. Â No I’m not about to be married; I’m not even engaged, but since my fellow blogger Amy revealed she was engaged I haven’t been able to stop thinking of what I would do on my wedding day. Â I’m currently unemployed so girly television is the main part of my day. Â Four Weddings and Don’t Tell the Bride are regulars on my tv screen and it makes me think of all the possibilities at a wedding. Â It’s not just the dress; but the venue, the cake, the food and the honeymoon must all be perfect. Â Nobody wants a bad wedding especially when weddings are so critically judged by the guests.
I thought I’d compile a wedding checklist, I mean who needs a wedding planner when you have a blogger with plenty of time on her hands.
Before I start, I’d strongly suggest you check out your local wedding fayre, they are brilliant in showing what’s on offer. Â It’s hard to know what’s available until you go to one of these events.
What to do:
Time till the wedding…
Rule number 1
- You need to plan
It’ll be stressful but as long as you make a checklist and keep a file with all the necessary documents in; you’ll be fine. Â Don’t let the groom get out of the hard work, boss him around and make sure all the finer details are perfected with the help of your loved one.
Here are a few of the most fashionable wedding dress styles at the moment; I love each and every one.
The Mermaid/Fishtail
Full skirt/ballerina
Crumb catcher
Happy wedding season and I wish Amy all the best

What a lovely and thoughtful post Stephy, thanks for the mention! I shall do a return post when I’m back from holiday… I’m in Cannes at the moment, making use of free WIFI
Take care chick, happy blogging – loving your work!
xx
Oh, I got married this year in April and had read this set of rules before it and got scared thinking I will never pull it off. I only had 6 months to plan everything (and extra help, of course) and I still had some time left to finish my MA paper. SO you can easily organise a pretty wedding in 6 months! And I didn’t even know how I wanted y wedding to be like! But we danced like crazy, it was like a huge graduation party, let’s say
, with food and drinks and all the people we love. And yes, check lists are a saviour, we kept some sort of an agenda :d, where we kept all bills and lists and stuff.
Not a problem Amy, I enjoyed doing some wedding research. I bet it’s all getting exciting now
Anyways have fun in Cannes, I look forward to your future posts!

Hahaha, I love this post! I am always watching wedding programmes too and looking up wedding dresses : )
Gotta love wedding programmes, they always end up catty though. I’m the same as you, sit and look at dresses, but how on earth are you meant to make a decision :/
