So⦠in my last blog I mentioned that I was being taken away on a surprise trip ā turns out I had a surprise when I got there tooā¦. my boyfriend asked me to marry him! Weāve been together for 9 years so, naturally I said YES!
I wonāt go in to too much detail as I donāt want to bore anyone but we went to Lake Garda, Italy which was so beautiful and spent the days on boats up and down the lake (which is pretty massive⦠it looks like the sea up close) and eating tonnes of gorgeous pasta and pizza and drinking prosecco and red wine. It was completely idyllic and getting engaged at the top of this clock tower was one of the best moments of my life J Sorry to gross you out⦠gush gush!
On our last night, we went to an Opera in Verona which was in an old open-air Amphitheatre and built in the first century AD. It was a stunning setting and we were so looking forward to the opera until a huge black cloud came over the top like a ceiling and whooshed a load of rain all over us, we got soaked⦠it was like the scene out of a disaster movie, everyone was screaming and running to get out of the torrential rain and lightning ā it was the worst storm weād ever been in. They tried to carry on with the show but each time just a drop of rain came down, the orchestra ran off to protect their instruments ā this happened 4 times and in the end, my āfiancĆ©ā and I had given up and went to get some pizza! It was a really memorable experience though, totally scary and a bit rubbish that we didnāt actually see much opera but really fun!
We got home to a surprise party at his mumās house where all of our families were ā it was a pretty good weekend! Itās worth mentioning that I tried to be a bit thematic, given my new status, with my plane outfit and wore this fab skirt with hearts on it from River Islandā¦. They have SO much cool stuff in there at the moment and their prices seem to be more reasonable than recent yearsā¦. Well done River Island!

Iām about to embark on Challenge 4 which is to visit my nearest Superdrug store and report back on my experience, after spending a very kind Ā£20 pound voucher⦠so watch this space.
